As a writer I never ever look at page count, only word count and write in the most basic of formats [times 10pt single space and 1" margins]. The main reason the page number does not matter that much is because most epublishers are using an 8x10 "page" not one that would resemble a mass market paperback or even a trade paperback. As for fiddling with margins, font size and line spacing, every epublisher has their own formula on what looks better on the ereader. I went and got Tierney's earlier story, Sinful Touches and that was good, too, although I was very disappointed with the page count. Only 55 pages for $4.00! Obviously I'm a snob when it comes to Venus Press, but that aside, 11 pages? I couldn't bring myself to buy. Do they tell people before hand how many pages there are per book?
